Corona tasks
Week 2 & 3
Hi everybody,
here are the tasks for Corona week 2 and 3. In the dropbox folder "articles" you can find plenty of texts about colonialism - but fear not, you don't have to read all of them and do all the tasks :)
You should upload at least one of the assignments until Thursday, 26th March 2020, 1 p.m. The deadline for the rest of the assignments is Thursday, 2nd April 2020, 1 p.m.
If you have any questions about the tasks or encounter technical problems, use the contact function on this website.

here are the tasks for Corona week 2 and 3. In the dropbox folder "articles" you can find plenty of texts about colonialism - but fear not, you don't have to read all of them and do all the tasks :)
- Read three of the texts (you may read more, of course, it's quite an interesting topic).
- Choose your favourite article and do the written tasks. Upload the written tasks to the Lernplattform. (Don't forget to put your name on the document!)
or: Choose your favourite article and record an audio comment or a video: What was the article about? Was it interesting? Boring? Difficult? Easy to understand? Did you learn anything new? Was there anything that you found surprising? Funny? Encouraging? Strange? Scandalous? Appalling? What were the main arguments? What was the message? Do you agree or disagree with the author/the arguments? Why? Upload the audio to the Lernplattform. If you made a video, upload it to youtube or vimeo and share the link in Lernplattform. - Choose one of the pictures/cartoons in the dropbox folder "pictures" and write a detailed description, analysis and evaluation. The Skills page about how to analyse a picture will help you. Upload your text to the Lernplattform. Don't forget your name!
- Read one of the short stories in the folder "short stories" and do the tasks. Upload them to the Lernplattform.

Week 1
Please upload your poster about the industrial revolution to the padlet: https://de.padlet.com/sternbea/bnlq65ixqsnu
Make an audio or video recording explaining your poster/topic. Upload the audio/video to the padlet, too, if possible. Or you could upload it to youtube (choose "not listed" in the privacy settings) and then add the link to the padlet. If those two options don't work, try to upload it to the Lernplattform, but make sure the file is not too big.
When everybody has uploaded their files (deadline Thursday, 19th March 1 p.m.), do the gallery walk by having a look at the other groups' posters and listen to their explanations. You can even comment on the other groups works, but be polite and only use English.
To get an impression of life in the Victorian Era, you can watch "Oliver Twist" based on the novel by the famous English writer Charles Dickens on Amazon Prime (the old black & white movie is free) or youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpmWVzvmZ6A
If you have any questions, you can contact me here in the chat or via contacts on the tablet homepage: https://tabletklassemarianum.weebly.com/contact.html
